After the pumpkins had served their purpose on the front doorstep for Halloween, they were moved to the back garden where they took on the appearance of frosted donuts after a light dusting of snow. Then the squirrels moved in. It’s good to recycle!

How fun. Love Mr. Squirrel have a lunch.
Thanks for stopping by, Carol.
Lovely!
Thank you, Ilze.
Yep, they love those seeds!
Always fun to watch.
So true.
I love that you do this Sue. So nice to share with the wildlife when you can 🙂
It’s more than repaid by the entertainment they provide.
Cute overload! Great idea.
Thanks, Marianne! For me, this is the best part of buying pumpkins.
Good thinking.
Thanks, Tom! I tried saving the seeds and roasting them a few years back (my husband loves the packaged pumpkin seeds) but it wasn’t very successful so now I just leave them to nature.
Fabulous photos.
Thank you! I love watching the squirrels and they are very obliging when it comes to having their pictures taken.
I love roasted pumpkin seeds – hey Mr. Squirrel, save some for me!
Not much chance of that! They don’t miss a thing.
Terrific shots.
Thank you! The squirrels make it easy. They are very resourceful and quite fearless when it comes to finding food.
Yum, free food for the squirrels! 🙂
Yes, and it doesn’t take long for them to realize it’s there.
