Beautiful photos- love their lack of colour which seems to intensify the spirits of the birds, who all seem rather pensive and watchful.
Thanks, Marianne! Pensive and watchful is a good description. They are constantly looking out for danger, with good reason. And you’re right, it does seem more noticeable in b/w.
