Part of the itinerary during our granddaughter’s visit a few weeks ago was a trip to Brookfield Zoo. I think the temperature was in the nineties so we didn’t stay long. Summer is never the best time to go to the zoo. I don’t know who was feeling the more lethargic, us or the animals. We didn’t get to see everything this time but you can bet that I will be making the most of my senior membership later on this year when the weather cools off a bit.
Great pics Sue 😁 Looks like the polar bear is contemplating taking a header into his pool.
Thanks, Jez! You would think so on such a hot day, but he rarely seems to take the plunge. It’s just part of the pattern that he follows, day in and day out, as many animals in a captive environment tend to do.
The gorillas Sue! I love how (and where) the little one is holding onto Mom and his look says everything while mom has the same face I’ve seen on so many human mothers.
Haha! Yes!
My favorite is your tortoise photo. Wonderful animal photos though, 😀
Thanks, Cee!
Great photos of some wonderful animals. They all look in excellent condition and not at all hot!
Thanks, Marianne! It can’t be easy, keeping animals in comfortable conditions especially in weather for which they are not suited, but the zoo seems to do a good job.
Those dogs have very interesting markings.
I believe they are African painted dogs. I just happened to catch a clip of them hunting in an old David Attenborough series last night. Very interesting!
Wonderful photos! Love every single one of them! 💕
Thank you, Therese!
