Hooray!! Cantigny Park in Wheaton opened up to the public again this week. I arrived there early in the morning yesterday, ahead of all those who, like me, were longing for somewhere other than their own gardens to visit. What a treat! We all managed to get around while keeping a safe distance and there were plenty of Seats available.
It’s wonderful, Sue!
Thank you, Miriam! It was good to be able to get out and visit one of my favorite places.
It looks great, Sue! I agree. We haven’t been out at all since March 15, a few days after the announcement of social distancing. We’ll get together with my hubby’s siblings tomorrow for the first time, but will keep some distancing!
Beautiful!
Thank you! It was great to be able to get out and see some seats other than the ones in my own home.
I know what you mean.
A good seat is always welcome in a garden.
Yes, especially in the shade on a 90 degree day.
So pretty. It’s good to be able to get out a bit isn’t it. Enjoy!
Thanks, Miriam! Yes, I almost cried, I was so happy to be back at Cantigny. We have certainly come to appreciate some of the things that we have been starting to take for granted.
Most of us have I think. Take care and enjoy 🙏
Beautiful series of pictures!!
Thanks, Indira!
Yay! Beautiful garden!
Thanks, Amy! I felt like jumping for joy, this was the first place, other than my daughters’, that I’d been to in a long time.
That’s a wonderful place to be.
Cantigny is probably one of my top five favorite places to visit in this area. Next to the Chicago Botanic Garden, I would say their gardens are the most beautifully kept.
Sweet… like reconnecting with a friend one hasn’t seen in a while and finding out that they are okay, and being with them brings us joy?
How aptly put! Yes, it was just like seeing an old friend. Thank you for stopping by.
