This week, Cee has chosen anything made from wood as the theme for her Black & White Photo Challenge. This gives me a good opportunity to share some pictures that I haven’t used before. On our way to DeKalb, back in October, we stopped off in Sycamore to visit the DeKalb County History Center. We looked in at the little museum they have there, but what really caught my eye was the old barn outside.
Beautiful black and white shots.
Happy New Year to you. 💥
Thank you, Lynette! Wishing you all the best for 2023.
Delightful shots. Happy New Year to you.
Thank you, Tom. Wishing you and Mrs.T. a Happy New Year.
Old barns are wonderful and could tell so many stories
Yes, someone who was working in the museum kindly came out while I was taking these pictures and explained about the history of the family who owned the property. It was very interesting.
That looks a lot like the barn I posted, but yours is in good shape. The one I took was not.
The barn was holding together well. It just needed some paint, but then it probably wouldn’t look anywhere near so interesting.
I’m glad that old is interesting! LOL
Beautiful.
Thank you, Cindy!
The barn looks vintage in monochrome!
The barn did need painting but it worked well fo this monochrome challenge.
Wishing you a New Year full of adventures with more fantastic shared photos.
Thank you! Wishing you the same.
So much to love about this old barn…thank you! Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2023 with lots more of your wonderful photos!

We love sycamore trees…neither here nor there.
